Here’s how one-of-one Pagani was created.
The Pagani Huayra hypercar is one of the most sought-after and unique in the world. The Italian exotic is a truly unique vehicle, thanks to its stunning AMG-sourced twinturbo V12 and a host of custom design details. The automaker created this exclusive Huayra build in collaboration with French designer Hermes after one of Pagani’s most valued clients asked for an even more exclusive example.
Manny Khoshbin, real estate mogul and YouTuber, explains the creation process with Pagani & Hermes in a video posted on his channel. Khoshbin approached Pagani Huayra in 2015 to request its famous high-quality leather for a hypercar. After consulting with Pagani, Italy, an agreement was reached. The multi-year design process started. This was the case. Pagani gave up some control of the car’s construction to allow Hermes to work with him on key materials.
Although the initial design of the Huayra was black and red, the owner decided to go with the Huayra’s final look. Dark brown paint was applied over a custom Hermes caramel leather interior. The Huayra’s interior is covered in the same leather and stitching as the famous handbags. This contrasts with Pagani’s extraordinary carbon fiber work. The brown carbon fiber sections and Hermes-badged shift lever are notable details. Intake grates made to symbolize the designer’s logo “H” are also noteworthy. A custom luggage set was also created for this vehicle, and is made to match the interior components.
Although the design might seem a bit extravagant for some, it is a great example of the lengths hypercar manufacturers like Pagani will go to to please their customers. If the interior design choices are not enough, the V12’s cold starting noises (10:20) will.
