In 2023, the electric brother of the Passat will make its debut.
The Passat will soon have an alternative to the Volkswagen Tiguan with the ID.4. The EV sedan, tentatively called the Aero B was seen testing on public roads (see related links below). the smart disguise made it look like a Jetta. We’ve seen Volkswagen performing these tricks many times before and know that there is a different design language underneath the camo.
This exclusive rendering shows the Aero B sedan in production. We used all of our automotive industry experience. It is a modern, sleek all-electric sedan that has athletic shapes and an overall modern appearance. Although we don’t like to brag, the final product will be very similar to the concept.
The front end clearly draws inspiration from Volkswagen’s ID division of electric vehicles. The front fascia looks more like an ID.4, particularly at the lower portion of the bumper. Meanwhile, the headlights look slightly longer and have different internal graphics.
The side features large wheels in a two-tone finish. These would look great on the Arteon and Passat today. The Aero B, pictured here, appears to be slightly larger than the current Passat due to its muscular wheel arches. However, this may just be a visual illusion. We don’t know the exact dimensions of this car at this time.
Early information about the powertrains suggests that there may be single- or dual-motor versions as well as a GTX with a high-performance engine. Although power figures are not available, it is expected that the flagship model can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.6 seconds. This means that the Aero B, the most powerful Passat currently on the market, will accelerate faster than any other Passat.
