It has a panoramic glass roof measuring 15.1 feet.
These sketches show the tiny Volkswagen Caddy van. We also have a mini camper version. VW claims that it’s as comfortable to sleep in the tiny RV as in its larger California.
This model, based on the fifth-generation Caddy is suitable for a small family or couple who want to take a weekend trip. You can store your table and camping chairs in the cabin. Bags against the walls can be used as storage and privacy screens.
A bed can be deployed by occupants that is nearly 6.5 feet (2 m) in length when it’s time for sleep. A 15.1-foot (1.4-meter) panoramic glass roof allows people to gaze up at the stars. It is possible to dimm the panel and other windows if it lets too much light in the cabin.
VW teaser images also indicate that the company will offer a tent which attaches to its rear hatch. This would allow for greater stretching.
This camper features VW’s Travel Assist adaptive cruise controller for a more relaxed journey to the campsite. Trailer Assist makes it easier to tow.
There are many powertrain options available to customers. You can choose from a four-cylinder diesel with either 74 horsepower (55kilowatts) and 121 horsepower (90 kW). A gasoline engine is also available with 113 horsepower (84 kW).
In September, the tiny Caddy-based camper will make its full debut. The US doesn’t have VW’s commercial vehicle division, so don’t expect this small rig to make its debut in September. However, the Mercedes-Benz Metris Weekender and its pop-up roof seem to play a similar role.
