VW T-Roc, T-Roc R-Line Facelift Undisguised In First Set Of Spy Photos

This is a look at the new versions of the VW Crossover.

The Volkswagen T-Roc, and the more sporty T-Roc R-Line were launched almost four years ago. They will be getting a refresh soon. The updated models were spotted by our spy photographers near the headquarters of the company in Wolfsburg, Germany. This tells us that there are not many updates.

The images below show the T-Roc standard facelift, which included a new set integrated DRLs. There are now one horizontal bar instead of two and a thicker chrome strip. Visibly higher than ever are the air intake decorations beneath the lamps.
The bumper and taillights at the rear are slightly altered, giving the small crossover an elegant new look.

This prototype of the T-Roc R-Line is sportier than the regular T-Roc. Although the rear bumper appears to have been modified a little, the front skirt is more aggressive than it was before. This mimics the large air intakes on the full-fledged TRoc R.

Although details are not available at this time, insiders claim that the T-Roc R-Line and the standard T-Roc will be available to dealers in spring or summer 2022. The updated T-Roc R will arrive by the end fall.

VW announced that it would have a fully-electric lineup in Europe by 2035. However, VW also announced in March that the T-Roc will be the first-generation model.

The T-Roc remains a forbidden fruit in America, and the future of a refreshed T-Roc cabrio is still unknown. Although we will know the outcome of everything next year, it is not surprising that VW’s EV offensive will continue to influence our perception of the status quo.
