It’s not any car, but a Ferrari488 Pista. This supercar has been featured many times on our pages. Let’s start with the numbers for those who have a shorter memory. It boasts a 3.9-liter V8 that produces 720 horsepower (530 Kilowatts) as well as 568 pound-feet (707 Newton-meters) of torque. New camshafts are used, as well as a larger intercooler and strengthened pistons. The engine was borrowed from the 488 Challenge.

A seven-speed dual-clutch auto with seven speeds shifts gears in 30 milliseconds when it is in race mode. The car weighs in at around 200 pounds (91 kg) less than the 488 GTB and generates 20 percent more downforce when it is moving at high speeds. This car sounds perfect for the Nurburgring.

It is evident from the results. The video above shows Sport Auto‘s driver Christian Gebhardt taking the 488 Pista around the Nurburgring in a very proficient lap. It took exactly 7:00 minutes. This is a remarkable feat considering that the car was still stock and was on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup II R K1 tires. It’s quicker than the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro (991.2), Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992.2) and Nissan GT-R Nismo at the track.
