What if: The 1957 Tesla Model S Is the Futuristic Car From Yesterday?

Would you buy this “electrosedan” if it was available?

We have seen many fictional renderings of Abimelec Designs before. They are generally very good and give us an idea of what might have been. The Tesla Model S is the latest addition to Abimelec’s collection. This model is not the next-generation, but it was pulled from 1957.

This is Abimelec’s latest rendering. What if? Collection, which includes vehicles that may have been in existence in the past. This is quite impressive considering that Teslas weren’t invented until the dawn of the new millennium.
Abimelec did an excellent job of describing what cars looked like back in the 1950s. This one is generic, and will look just like any other Plymouth or Ford cars from the era.

However, Abimelec sees the Tesla Model S, as it is today, as an electric performance sedan. This car, which is accompanied by a poster in a social media post, is called an “electrosedan”, and fits perfectly into the Atompunk design ethos from the ’50s.

The renderings shown above depict a classic Model S with its red paint job. However, Abimelec envisions it in other colors. Our favorite is the blue one at the top of the page.

If the Model S Electro-Sedan was actually built in the 1950s, would it work? Abimelec agrees that the Model S Electro-Sedan would be a huge failure if it did happen. Ingenious designer Abimelec also mentioned the potential health risks associated with nuclear power use during that period, which would likely be a problem that electric cars would have to face.

Your imagination is limitless, so don’t be afraid to imagine the possibilities.
