One of the four greatest ever exist.
We can’t deny the Lamborghini Countach has a distinctive appearance. It’s still a beloved vehicle design. Have you ever wondered what it would look like with low resolution?
This is exactly what Rem D. Koolhaas, founder of United Nude, imagined when he created the Lo-Res Car concept car. The concept vehicle shown in the gallery below was based on an abstract, low resolution version of the Italian wedge supercar. It is one of four prototypes that the footwear company commissioned for promotional purposes.
It’s up for sale on Bring A Trailer.
The body of the Lo-Res is composed of 12 tinted panels of polycarbonate. The front and rear light bars serve as headlights or taillamps respectively. Both the front and back logos of United Nude are illuminated.
The Lo-Res has a steel tube-frame chassis and black-painted metal wheels. The motor is powered by a KDS 5-kilowatt electrical motor and paired with a single speed transmission. This power then goes to the rear wheels. It features disc brakes at the front wheels.
The remote-control actuated shell body opens to reveal fixed tandem seats in polished metal with ribbed black upholstery. The interior’s most striking feature is the chrome hexagonal steering knob and polished instrument panel with two digital displays.
The Petersen Automotive Museum currently owns this concept vehicle, but it is now listed for Sale No Reserve at Bring A Trailer. Hammer falls on October 16th, so you still have time to decide if you want the vehicle in your garage.
The current bid is $45,000 at the time of writing. However, it’s important to keep in mind that this is not street legal, if this isn’t obvious already.
