You will need to make some sacrifices in order to get the 2022 Ford Bronco with a soft top.

A fresh-air machine is expensive.

When it was launched last summer, the Ford Bronco made headlines. After the initial success, the conversation shifted to about the variety of options for potential buyers. Although all vehicles will be equipped with a hardtop, future plans include a softtop and a modular top. However, this comes with some red tape.

Unfortunately, the ability to convert your Bronco to an open-air machine comes at the expense of wiring and plumbing to its rear end. Customers will lose the rear wiper and rear defroster as well as the rear washer. Dual-top options will allow you to keep the rear-end functionality if you want to.

If you are unsure about the drop-tops, there is plenty of time to make a decision. Both of these options have been delayed until the 2022 model year. We should also mention that this isn’t the first time the Bronco has suffered roof-related delays. The Blue Oval had to stop production of the 2021 Bronco last year due to a problem with its supplier.

Despite setbacks and delays, the Bronco is well-received by its fans. It’s evident that the Ford Motor Company isn’t just focusing on one model.

We can’t wait for an automotive lookbook that includes all the options offered by the factory. Please leave any suggestions in the comments section.
